Those are both really fun! My wife and I try to avoid the truly wicked, occultish part of Halloween and just enjoy the candy, bats, spiders, and black cats. One thing I cannot resist though, is a witch in a hat flying across the moon. I don't know why, but I have this memory of something from many years ago that had the witch and moon that I adored, and now I can't seem to resist them.
These quilts are a perfect representation of that memory. We have never done applique, but I may have to look for this pattern and give it a go. Thanks for posting.
