These are terrific. My DD had cancer at 19 years old and would not wear a wig when her hair fell out. She wore the scarfs and everyone called them doo-rags. My heart just ached when she was in a public restroom and some blankety blank "lady" called her a "dyke". She came out crying and told me why. She wouldn't let me go and find the woman--I guess it was a good thing as I would have told her off and made such a scene! Maybe if my DD would have had a turban like this in a "young" pattern she would not have had to endure such insensitivity.
By the way, she is now 32 and has been cancer free for over 10 years--praise the Lord!!
So very happy for your DD and for you that she is a survivor. I'm sorry she had to endure the cruel remarks of insensitive people, but I'm sure it made her a stronger, more compassionate person.
