Last year, an acquaintance found in a garage sale several old quilt blocks with ladies & umbrellas appliques. My daughter took pics of the blocks and sent to me. My daughter loved the blocks so much that I copied them by drawing my own girls/umbrellas, appliqued them using the same technique and set them in a quilt for her. She knew I was working on it but was very surprised to find out that it was hers. She loves it.
(Lace on bottom of skirts does not show very well in pics.) Again, hand quilted. Pic looks like blues but actually lavendars.
