Kind of odd maybe but I do like looking at the new contemporary prints made into quilts but I do not like to buy the prints to use for my own quilts. I am also not big on white. Now what is strange is that I love Hawaiian prints.
Our daughter came back from Hawaii with yards of Hawaiin prints she said should go together. She's a graphic designer and knows her way around a color wheel. I was having a hard time deciding how to use these prints, then discovered stack and whack, and esp stack and whack 4 posie. I'll try that as soon as I get up the nerve. I'm so nervous about treading unknow territory it's ridiculous!
Batiks are lovely. Just keep a sharp needle to sew them. Also any fabric that holds a wrinkle when bunched together is one I stay away from if I can.
