Very nice turkey. This looks to be a wall hanging, or a table topper - correct? If so, you won't be washing it as often as you would for a lap quilt and the applique doesn't have to be sturdy as steel. You could use the fusible (iron-on) applique for the pumpkins, with just machine stiching around the edges. My suggestion is to go with five or six pumpkins instead of seven, and maybe not use the large white pumpkin.
