I don't know if there is a free pattern for slippers available, but I have made polar fleece socks from a pattern I bought online from "The Greenpepper" company. The pattern goes by shoe size and is from baby to adult. I love this pattern, it's so easy and quick--1/2 hour to cut and sew a pair of socks! I think one yard of fabric makes at least four adult pairs and you can make little ones with the leftovers and give them to family or donate them to an abused women's shelter or some other worthy cause. My 16 year old son loves his fleece socks on cold winter nights and I'm told that men who hunt and fish love them for cold weather as it keeps the feet warm and wicks away moisture.
