Here in NE Iowa livestock farmers are chopping corn for silage, our guys included. One local farmer's corn was already too dry for chopping. DIL uncle's corn was 19% moisture last week. OBTW we usually chop corn the second week of September, depending on how many days of maturity the corn is. What a difference from last year when it never did get dry enough.
