Nice big juicy Jersey Beefsteak tomatoes and sweet white corn right now. DH and I had a great BLT sandwich for lunch this afternoon. Haven't liked the Jersey peaches I've bought this summer, not juicy at all just mealy.
Zucchini and eggplant were plentiful in the farm market last week, made a great zucchini pie for dinner. Not a sweet pie, an impossible Bisquick pie that is more like a fritta. We love it with slices of beefsteak tomates and maybe some fried Italian pepper, the long green ones, on the side. Wouldn't hurt to have a link of Italian sausage too. May in Jersey
