My Brother Innovis 4000D prefers only Brother Bobbinfil and is possibly the most expensive, but being thinner, seems to go further. Recently my Brother dealer, who also repairs and maintains industrial Brother sewing machines, suggested I try the bulk thread which they use - he filled a bobbin for me and my machine sewed perfectly.
I also have a 4000D and I can use the pre wound bobbin thread from NEB it makes a big differance when doing machine Emb. I also have the thread from brother that came with my machine.
