Holy COW! That's quite amazing! Yes, you really SHOULD contact the company. I'm sure they'd love to hear some positive feedback.

I had a needle break into 3 pieces once. One piece hit me in the face. There were no injuries, but it was scary. The dumb thing about it was that the machine caused it. Under where the thread sits on top, there is this little, clear "wheel". The edges are loose, and the thread got under there and got stuck, and it broke the needle. I kept it for years. I don't know why, but I think to remind me how dangerous things can really be. I think I finally threw it away. I try to remember to put a piece of paper or something under the thread spool on that machine, but it doesn't work anymore, anyway.

I'm glad you weren't hurt.
