another of the differences between the Flynn system and a long arm system is...with the Flynn your machine is stationary and you move the quilt. with a long arm the quilt is stationary and you move the machine.
as you roll the quilt your working area gets smaller and smaller, without the frame system you roll your quilt and start in the center working your way out so you (in theory) get more and more quilting space as you un-roll, with a frame system you roll the quilt on the frames and each time you roll the quilt to a new area your (roll) gets bigger, takes up throat space)
it takes some getting used to and LOTS of practice but it is a good system. and much more reasonably priced than buying a long-arm (which also takes lots of practice and getting used to)
