I am presuming the people will sign the white strips between the red strips (7 1/2")?? would be a good idea to count the possible signers #s. I like the separation, a little narrower. or maybe a 1"fin. strip of red flowered along the edge of all the vertical strips & red stopper border before a wide flowered border around the whole quilt. red work embroidery could be done with vines, etc down the white separators after the signing is done. or a machine-stitched vine,leaves, etc. will be a lovely rememberence for Mom.
