I made this quilt for a friend who had a stroke at the young age of 45 and was in a coma for 6 weeks. He awoke a quadriplegic. Over time he has regained a 'small' amount of use in one hand. He has dysphasia (unable to speak very well and swallowing problems) and in a wheelchair. He had seen my quilt photos and mentioned that he would like to purchase a small lap size and that his favorite color is blue. This was my gift to him.
