I am a crafter...have been all my life, but since I started quilting, I no longer seem to have time to set up for painting, or beading, or any of the other crafts I have loved for a long time. Quilting seems to take care of my need for creativity. It is an art form, that is usable and not just appreciated by sight. My family are grown and moved away and so I do have time to quilt for grands and great-grands. I dont feel I have really given up anything, just turned my creativity down another street.
