I've never had a problem with mine at all. I just wash the potato and pat it a little bit with a paper towel. Just want to potato to be a little bit wet and then wrap it in a paper towel and then put it in the microwave and bake the potato. I bake mine for anywhere from 5 to 8 minutes and then set it out on a plate and let the potato stay in the bag and it will finish cooking while it is still in the bag. I haven't used mine in quite awhile. Tho I never had any problems in the past,, well there is always a first time so I say yes, please becareful with them and thank God they have out the right type of batting made for those bags.
