oh oh oh oh oh!!! I am so excited I am beside myself. I was looking at a thrift store for buttons of any kind for a project for my mom. I hit the mother load. found so much fabric that was fairly decent that i could have wet myself. and then was looking in the furniture area and oh my goodness. found not one but two antique sewing machines in original tables. and then found two empty tables. I got one of the empty tables for my machine to now call home. for those who don't know I have been using TV trays and a fisher price little tykes plastic table to sew on. I am just so excited. I just now have to get it up stairs and dusted. Then have to get two new casters, well think that I will get 4 metal ones that way they will be less likely to break. The table seems to be a higher quality particle board but that is okay for me. (For now). I got it for 6.99 at good will. this is the first time that I have ever seen anything that I really really really wanted at one of these thrift store, well that was a good deal. It had been 20 but they had marked it down to 7.99 and because one of the wheels was broken i got another dollar off. now just to get hubby to see how much money i have saved by getting a used item.

The two old sewing machines, one was a Kenmore that was a dark hunter green that looked like a treadle that had power to it and the other I can't remember off the top of my head. I would be very tempted to go back and the the one that looked like a treadle. wish i had taken a pic of it on my phone. it is probably gone by now though. When my mom gets here she is going to help me carry the table up the stairs from the garage. I will take a pic after it gets up here. way too dark down there to get a good pic.
