I did a block that had 27 leaves in blanket stitch. That took forever!! You basically have to go one stitch at a time and lift the presser foot and move the fabric every other stitch.

Definitely. The black blanket stitch set that quilt off! I'll take pictures of it this weekend at retreat where I have room to spread it out.
