The pattern is called "Dr. Watson's Cosmos" and is one of the gallery quilts in the book, i.e., the instructions for this particular one aren't in the book. However, if you look closely at the quilt you'll see that there's really only *ONE* block pattern, the quarter circle. It's just the arrangement of them that gives it a more complex look. The smaller "moons" are simply circles that have been appliqued on. So it's not hard at all, just takes some planning and adjusting as you go to get the right color movement from one block to the next that looks "right". The main thing with doing this style of quilt is creating the strata of strips with graduated colorings. Then it's just doing curved piecing, which is very easy with the method she shows in the book.
