I see a couple of people have been asking about this pattern. It's called a Magic 9 Patch or Next Generation, not sure which one. Anyway, here's the link:

I still haven't finished the top. I did put on a narrow black border followed by a wider white border. I'm not really fond of the white, so instead of taking it off, I going to increase the seam allowance to a 1/2" when I put on black binding and call it a day.
