You need 1 in. hex's. I use 2.5 sq. and pin the paper hex in the center, trim off the corners. Make sure to leave at least 1/4 in when triming to turn over on papers. I am assuming you are doing english paper piecing. Have fun with you GMFG. It can be addicting!
