Definitely gift cards. Smart restaurant, nice store where they can buy what they need or want. Do they like wine? You could make up a nice basket with some wine, crackers, some nice cheese, fancy olives - that kind of stuff. Or a breakfast basket - pancake mix, syrups, fancy coffee or teas, etc. But I still think I like gift cards.
