I feel like I'm in a constant state of needing rescuing. :?

I was sewing the binding ends together, and when I snipped an end I SNIPPED THE BORDER TOO!! I am usually so careful about such things, but not enough this time.

It'd be very time consuming to replace that border strip since it's already quilted.

I immediately put a 1/4" piece of steam a seam under the cut and pressed. Then I sewed the rest of the binding on.

Will that hold it? If not, what else should I do? I will mention it to potential buyers at the sale.

Can you see it?
