I am in the process of starting a quilt with 48 12" blocks with three colors and three fabric designs. I went to Quilter's Cache and checked on the size of the block and then I went to each design and found how many colors were used and picked out my 48 blocks. It is a sampler, however, you could pick out one design and do that one. Each block tells how many colors you need and it works like a charm. Edie
