I'm sorry, the photo doesn't show the detail. I drilled a hole through the pvc and placed a nut and bolt through the hole to keep the table legs from dropping to the bottom of the pipe. I actually have a series of holes in each leg to allow me to vary the height to what I want for what I need. I can upload a better photo if that would help. I'm a visual person myself and do better if I can see what I need. Just a thought.
