Hi Verna -
(strange to write that) As a child my mother knew a little girl named Verna and said if she ever had a daughter that would be her name. There used to be a shop in Lancaster PA "Verna's Quilt & Feed Shop". I introduced myself and was surprised she wasn't very enthused to meet another one.
I also bought several assortments of Verna fabrics, so far made a wall hanging. The rest is waiting for me to get caught up, as if that will happen LOL.
