You will be happy with that chair. I was also told to stand on a thick mat wherever I am standing too long, like when we are cutting fabrics. It helps a lot. I still need to get me a chair like that. I also worked in an office before "discovering quilting". Sometimes I said to myself" I should have retired earlier to start doing quilts earlier in life.

Aurora, if you do a search on here for black mesh chair backs you will find a temporary fix. At Dollar Tree they have these great little chair backs that strap on to your existing chair for $1.00. It might do for now until you get a better chair.
