Personally I would use them. My hubby who is 24, wears them nearly every time he rides. I wouldn't worry too much about today's youth. If they didn't grow up in that type of area to know what chap's are, regardless if they have or have not seen Roy Roger's, they probably wont want a cowboy quilt in the first place. So I say keep the fabric. If someone wants a cowboy quilt more than likely they will know what chaps are! I like the light one best. The dark one feels to busy.
