Billy, I have a 301A that was my mother's. I remember years ago her using the cams and it seemed to shake the jeepers out of the machine. Does using the cams and button holer shake that machine too much or doesn't it do any harm to it? I haven't tried the cams for fear of doing harm to my beloved 310A.

The way I see it if Singer thought it would tear the machine up they would have never made them. Remember back then they were really proud of their company and their reputation. Also they had to compete with the Germans who had the cam stacks and the Japanese who were copying them and including the decorative and multiple stitches in their machines.
