I live in the high desert, low humidity. Our LQS suggests putting our threads in a zip-lock with a spritz of water. She said they dry out and break if you don't. I haven't done it....thought it wasn't necessary. The other day, I had a thread that was breaking a lot, put it in a zip-lock, spritzed it and waited overnight....sure enough --- it quit breaking!!!
