Kola has a companion, we think he lives next door. He comes over to dine and sometimes serenade Kola. A while back the food dish outside was empty (he ate it all earlier), he must have thought we ran out of food and couldn't share with him. So he lugged a freshly killed bunny about 3 months old up onto the shelf where the food dish sits.
Kola will knock at the door if she has caught us dinner, she will come in and call us to eat. If we see the feast she has brought, we thank her for it, pretend we eat and then throw the little body away. If we aren't home at the time, we usually only get the stomach and a foot if we are lucky.
