I beleive painting is not taught.. per say.. years ago i used to paint on everything that stood still and then stopped to do other things. After a very dark time in my life...years ago the painting became the healing and light.. Picking up the paintbrush for me is theraputic and necessary right now. I never know what it going to come out when I paint. It totally consumes my thoughts and relaxes me...and that is good ;):).. after the last two years of dark.. ( losing my son) I am looking for anything that gives back some light. I won't stop quilting but I am enjoying this part of the journey. I am using fabric paints ..and adding embellishments. FUN. Ps everyone can paint... and my style too is very childlike I have noticed and years ago on the suggestion of a friend took some lessons ( one class for three weeks ) and found I could NOT do number one to ten.. .never finished their project and found it very frustrating.... for me that was not how it came out.
I'd say if you feel like painting just go with it ;) and have FUN..a 6 year old once told me THERE IS NO MISTAKES IN ART . PS. posted some christmas fabrics for anyoen interested in shopping today ;)
