When disappointments happen, we start to believe we don't deserve successes. Think about your many blessings, 4 children and a chance to stay at home with them are a really good start. End each day by writing down 5 good things about the day and you'll be amazed at how your "luck" changes. A positive outlook feeds the soul and makes wonderful things happen.
