I have a 401A slant needle that was a demo at a fair bought in 1959. I still have it and have taught my three DD to sew on it and now my GD is using it at 10 to make her own quilt.Been in the shop once, I clean and lube it myself. The machine lasted...the marriage didn't.It was a wedding present from former DH. Terrific machine
