You will know the cost of fabric etc over here and this is what curtails the amount of quilts I make and what I do with them. I buy my fabric on line mainly from one shop, and at the Birmingham quilt show, for the latter I save up and have a little spree mainly buying small amounts, less than half a metre. for the same reason my quilts are inclined to be hangings or lap quilts for myself, family and friends. Though I am now startng to make bed quilts which I will machine piece and hand quilt. Hence when it is time to make the next quilt I see what i have a go from there. My lap quilt size varies depending who I am making it for. A bit hit and miss I guess but no one has complained so far!!! I would not want to sell as the pressure would take the enjoyment I get.
