I make small lap quilts for a nursing home and they will be about 38 in square or something close depending on the block size I use. I do not use batting in these and back with whatever kind of cheap flannel I can find. Sometimes flannel sheets that are donated. I then tie them. They are used hard and washed a lot so I don't invest a lot in them.
