This is my first quilt that I'm doing for my daughter's first birthday. Right now I've been testing out how to applique the cupcakes and am having issues with it; it's wavy. I have seen videos where nothing more is done than a tight zig zag stitch but others use a fusible web and a stabilizer (one woman mentioned a coffee filter). What confuses me is that the fusible web is to make sure the fabrics stay together but I used a basting glue stick so my fabric wasn't moving.
Anybody have experience with applique? I need help :shock:
