I like to sew on a slightly higher stool rather than a chair when the machine is a portable on a regular height table. (Shoulders don't get so tense.) I'm not lucky enough to have found my treadle yet, but I know it is out there somewhere.
The table is 36" from the top to the ground and the treadle is only 28" or so tall. So I built a stand to set the treadle on to go under the table. I am eventually going to get a better stool to go out there but until I find on I like I will be using that one!!
