the ribbons where part of the front yoke so I worked the squares into them so it would add more interest to the block. if you notice on the block with the blue it has the (dang I forgot what it's called) the folds where it was part of that gowns yoke. I think it's called pin tucks. Also I have several pockets off the gowns that I will sew into little purse type things so she can hang them in her closets with cedar or some other type of clothes freshener. There is a lot that can be done with those gowns but she doesn't have any girls or granddaughter so for now I've just saved all the pretty stuff in case she wants to use them on other things for herself.
