I have a oliso and I'm very happy with it. I don't ever use steam so I have not had a problem with spitting. I have had a black and decker and a rowenta too. I didn't care for the rowenta but I don't remember why. You can buy a bunch of cheap irons and still be ahead. I'm not sure the $$$$ are worth it.
