Our vet refuses to declaw a cat. He calls it an inhumane practice. Make sure the kitten wasn't taken away from the mother before 8 weeks or older so they will be socialized better. I've had male and female cats with no problems. If you are going to get two and can get litter mates they will get along well. Don't overfeed and don't put their water in a plastic container as it causes sores around the mouth in many cats. They need exercise, especially once they leave the more active kitten stage. Have fun with them. They have individual personalities and can be a joy...Good luck finding that perfect pet! :D
