Jan ... When my FIL passed away I was given suitcases full of quilt tops (6) and a box of fabric and assorted blocks that his mother made (back in the 1940's). I have only finished a few, but the projects will keep me busy for years. Like you said, it was something to leave for the children and, believe me, they are so loved! Needless to say, I doubt I'll ever run out of projects![/quote]

Awwww, lucky you! I just got boxes of amazing needlepoint canvases, some half-finished, most with irreplaceable, unmatchable, vegetable-dyed yarns. I'd never finish them - though Heavens knows I tried! - if I needle pointed for the rest of my life, 8 hours a day!!!
Talk about an addiction -- this was my great-grandmother, and she was a world traveler/collector of fibers over 100 years ago. Some of these things are so hideous I can't imagine even a museum wanting them, LOL!

DDs are getting that stuff, too, poor babies! :P
