Annaquilts-this is my suggestion. Move your sofa and chair onto the carpet, face the TV but bring your TV onto the carpet also. Put the 2 drawer chests back to back and protecting the surfaces, put a top on them to make a cutting center unless it is too high. Have peg boards, again with protection, down both sides of the chests. Hang all your goodies on there, or even baskets available now. Then in both window areas, make long desk/areas the height you want, and get those 6" deep drawer plastic units on wheels and slide them under. They hold folded fabric/fat quarters nicely. Put that dining room table behind the sofa, making a sewing area. When working on something large, drape it over the back of the sofa. Get rods, like curtain rods, and put them on the ceiling in the area where the TV is. Or you can put the rods the whole way across the dormer area. Whatever it on the rods will hang straight down. Another suggestion - open the doors on that
tall unit, put a bar with a "U"-type groove in it to hold the doors open and you have an instant display area. My friend has almost the same room. Her stairwell is open and she drapes quilts over the banisters. Good luck. I would love it myself.
