Sometimes I wish there weren't those of us in hiding, it would make it easier to help (but I understand why we choose that option).

Try googling "Quilt Documentation Projects" for one in your state.

Also, try http://www.allianceforamericanquilts.org/

And you might consider leaving the quilt to a local/regional museum of history -- where the quilt was made, I mean -- so that the names on it might be remembered by viewers.

The museum will likely request an appraisal which you can get usually for less than $50 from any AQS certified quilt appraiser in your area. Google American Quilters Society for a list.
