Cute patterns! From my experience, I started paper piecing with a friend, and she was good at it. She recommended to me to not have many lines in a beginning project. I appreciated her advice, after I had done a couple. It can get frustrating to tackle something too difficult, and you have to take out. "Taking out," can be even more frustating as the paper tears, you have to tape it, then sew over the tape, ect.
I did some in a paper piecing book which has not many small seams, ect. I will be happy to look it up for your if you want. Just pm me;
