I wanted to start an online fabric store early this spring and found out how heavy the costs it takes to get it going. If you have weak or poor credit you won't get the financing unless you have half the money down on it. Getting the fabric from the manufactor may require you to carry lots of fabric and going thru a distributor you don't get a lot of profit off it. You need a tax ID and need to keep books. I use to run a quilting and craft store for 6 years in my home town back in the 1990s. I made 20,000 a year. If you are really interested in doing it I can give you a lot of pointers.
