Also it is very important to have the presser foot up, whether you are threading or unthreading your machine so that the tension disks are opened when doing so. Less wear and tear on the machine.
Also my machine repairman says not to wind the bobbin through the needle which I have been doing for years but as shown in our manuals as it wears on the thread guide just above the needle. Makes sense but a hard habit to change. I enjoy everyones tips, pictures and etc. Bernadette
