I haven't heard of Mundial scissors, but I googled them, and they look like they would be OK - especially if she is using dinky scissors right now! The difference between the Quilters & Dressmakers shears seems to be that the Quilters have a "knife" edge to cut thru heavier fabrics, while the Dressmakers have a "micro-serrated" edge to cut thru' different kinds of fabric. I don't know that one is an especially better edge than the other, probably choosing by color would be fine! lol
Personally, my favorite scissors are Ginghers, but they are pricey, and I really do most of my cutting for quilting with an Olfa 45mm rotary cutter.
