I was wondering though - is there any reason (besides it being too easy) that quilters don't use decorative stitches more? Does it not hold as well?
The stitches generally hold very well and if you do your math before - hand, you don't have to worry about the corners because the pattern will fit exactly and be placed where you want it to go.Not every quilt 'tells' you to cover it with elaborate stitches and sometimes 'less is more'.
