It is when you do something nice for someone (usually that you don't even know) for no reason other than the pleasure of doing it...on this board, it is usually sending fabric or patterns or whatever to others who may be in need for one reason or another and not expecting money or anything else in return, other than for them to pay something forward to someone else when they can :)
