This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending a quilting retreat organized by Rhonda (board member, author of several books on new methods for creating blocks).

It was great!

It was a small group, so when Rhonda was teaching her piecing methods, it was easy to observe, and to get help.

The owners of the B&B where the retreat was held were very gracious in allowing us a lot of leaway on use of the main rooms, etc. There were side trips to a local dry goods sore, an antique shop, and a workshop with weaving/pottery/blacksmithing all being done. AND we got a lot of piecing done. Hooray!

I understand Rhonda may be offering another retreat - maybe in the spring. If you have the chance, I would recommend going. She is a good teacher, and has quite an innovative way of piecing.

I am going to try to download pics later, to show you a little of what went on there.
